  • A Chorus Line - The company opened the broadcast with a performance of "I Hope I Get It," accompanied by composer Marvin Hamlisch, on the street in front of Radio City Music Hall, and continued with "One" on the stage.
  • Curtains - 2007 Tony Award-winner David Hyde Pierce and nominee Debra Monk led the company in "Show People."
  • 110 in the Shade - Nominees Audra McDonald and John Cullum performed "Raunchy."
  • Mary Poppins - The cast performed a medley of "Chim Chim Cher-ee," "Step in Time," and "Anything Can Happen."
  • Company - Nominee Raúl Esparza performed "Being Alive."
  • Grey Gardens - 2007 Tony Award-winner Christine Ebersole performed "The Revolutionary Costume for Today."
  • Spring Awakening - The company performed a medley of "Touch Me," "The Bitch of Living," and "Totally F*****."
Other Elements

Fantasia performed "I'm Here" from The Color Purple, in which she was currently starring on Broadway.

The presentation of the Creative Arts Awards took place before the telecast began. Webcast exclusively at TonyAwards.com, this portion of the ceremony was presented by Hilton Hotels hosted by the cast of the 2006 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Jersey Boys. It included seven competitive awards, as well as the Regional Theatre Tony Award.

Nine-time Tony winner Tommy Tune honored the members of the Broadway community who passed away during the 2006-2007 season by singing "Look Around" from The Will Rogers Follies, written by Betty Comden (1919-2006), Adolph Green, and Cy Coleman.

NYC Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Heidi Klum, Wolfgang Puck, "A-Rod" (Alex Rodriguez), and "Judge Judy" (Judith Sheindlin) appeared in brief pre-taped segments.
