- Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna was the youngest daughter of Nicholas II, the last Tsar of Russia, and his wife, Tsarina Alexandra Fyodorovna. Whether she actually was able to escape from execution and survive was one of the most popular historical mysteries of the 20th century.
