It's not to early to start planning your 2010 Tony party! Dates for the American Theatre Wing's 64th annual Tony Awards® ceremony have now been announced. The awards will be telecast on CBS, live from Radio City Music Hall®, on Sunday, June 13, 2010, in a three-hour show beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Nominations Announcement, presented by IBM, will take place on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. The cut-off for nomination eligibility on the 2008-2009 Broadway Season will be April 29, 2010. Presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, the awards honor theatre professionals and distinguished achievement on Broadway. Known formally as the Antoinette Perry Awards, the Tonys are bestowed annually on theatre professionals for distinguished achievement. The Tony is one of the most coveted awards in the entertainment industry and the annual telecast is considered one of the most prestigious programs on television. Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss/White Cherry Entertainment will return as Executive Producers for the 2010 Tony Awards. Together, Kirshner and Weiss have been the recipient of four Emmy Awards for their work on past Tony Award telecasts--most recently the Emmy Award in the Outstanding Special Class Program Category in 2008 for the 61st Annual Tony Awards.
