Spotlight On: Scandalous

A new musical with a book and lyrics by Kathie Lee Gifford and based on the life of evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson.

Carolee Carmello starred as Aimee Semple McPherson, the world’s first media superstar evangelist, whose passion for saving souls equaled her passion for making headlines. Scandalous is set in 1920s Los Angeles, where holiness collides with Hollywood in the extraordinary tale of one woman's charismatic rise to fame. Amidst scandalous love affairs and growing controversy, her story inevitably ends in a much-publicized fall from grace.
