ABOUT THE SHOW
With war raging abroad, newly widowed Elizabeth Gaesling (Mary-Louise Parker) gathers her family for their annual shooting party to mark the opening of hunting season in rural upstate New York. But Elizabeth is forced to confront a new reality as her carefree eldest son comes to terms with his impending deployment overseas, and her younger son discovers that the father they all revered left them deeply in debt. Together, the family must let go of the life they’ve always known. The cast also includes past Tony Award-nominee Danny Burstein, and past winner Victoria Clark.
Sharr White’s The Other Place was produced by MCC Theater in 2011, and re-mounted on Broadway by Manhattan Theatre Club. Those two companies are jointly producing The Snow Geese.
Cast member Victoria Clark is taking a hiatus from her 2013 Tony-nominated performance as “Marie” in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. She returns to play the Fairy Godmother once The Snow Geese completes its run.
