ABOUT THE SHOW

In Will Eno’s new play, we meet Bob (Tracy Letts) and Jennifer (Toni Collette) and their new neighbors, John (Michael C. Hall) and Pony (Marisa Tomei), two suburban couples who have even more in common than their identical homes and their shared last names. As their relationships begin to irrevocably intertwine, the Joneses must decide between their idyllic fantasies and their imperfect realities. This contemporary comedy explores how our joys and sorrows – and how we choose to face them – can come to define our lives.

TRIVIA

  • Cast member Tracy Letts is a two-time past Tony-winner, as a playwright (August: Osage County) and an actor (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?). Toni Collette is a past Tony-nominee for The Wild Party.
  • Marisa Tomei is a three-time Academy Award nominee who won an Oscar for the film My Cousin Vinny. Stage veteran Michael C. Hall is a seven-time Emmy Award nominee and a Golden Globe winner for his TV work.

HISTORY

The Realistic Joneses had its premiere at the Yale Repertory Theater in New Haven, Connecticut in April 2012.
