The June 2013 broadcast of the American Theatre Wing's 67th Annual Tony Awards® (2013) was honored on August 16 with two Primetime Emmy Awards® at the Creative Arts Awards presentation in Los Angeles, and a third Emmy at the Primetime Emmy Awards® ceremony on August 25. The Tony Awards won in the following categories:
Outstanding Special Class Program – Ricky Kirshner, Executive Producer, Glenn Weiss Executive Producer and Neil Patrick Harris, Host/Producer
Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics “Bigger!” – Music by Tom Kitt, Lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda
Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special – Glenn Weiss
This is the third consecutive year that the Tony Awards have won in the Special Class and Music and Lyrics categories. Weiss was previously the recipient of Emmy Awards for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special in 2012 for the 65th Annual Tony Awards, in addition to Outstanding Directing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program in 2003 for the 56th Annual Tony Awards.

"This show certainly was ‘bigger’, living up to the lyrics of the opening song,” Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner said in a statement. “This could not have happened without the talents of hundreds of theatre and television professionals working hand in hand.
