Historic Hotel Property, Paramount Hotel, to Host Tony Award Events and Programming Throughout the Season
New York, NY (March 19, 2014) – The Tony Awards have announced that the historic Paramount Hotel will be the official hotel partner of the Tony Awards starting this season and until the year 2016.
The partnership will commence with the 2014 Tony Award Nominations on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. The live ceremony will take place at the Paramount Hotel’s newly renovated Diamond Horseshoe.
The Paramount Hotel will also host the Meet the Nominees Press Reception on Wednesday, April 30th and the 2014 Tony Nominee Luncheon on Tuesday, May 20th. Additionally, the Paramount Hotel will host the 2014 Tony Honors Cocktail Reception on Monday, June 2nd, which will present the Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre, the Regional Theatre Award and celebrate the 2014 Special Award Recipients. About The Diamond Horseshoe
In 1938, Billy Rose opened the Diamond Horseshoe at the Paramount Hotel featuring the greatest performers, top vaudeville acts, and the most beautiful showgirls in the world.
