NEW YORK, NY (June 6, 2014) – The Tony Awards have announced the official sponsors for the 68th

Hosted by Tony Award winner, Emmy Award winner, Academy Award®-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actor Hugh Jackman the 68th Annual Tony Awards will be televised live from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on Sunday June 8th from 8-11 P.M. (ET/PT time delay) on CBS. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Audemars Piguet - Audemars Piguet, the oldest manufacturer of Haute Horlogerie still in the hands of the founding family, unveiled the official Tony Awards Countdown Clock at the 68th Annual Tony Awards Nominations. As stars Lucy Liu and Jonathan Groff announced this year’s nominees, they stood next to the exclusively designed countdown clock that includes the brand’s iconic Royal Oak design. The countdown clock tower represents the long standing relationship between Audemars Piguet and the Tony Awardsand will be present on the Tony Awards ceremony red carpet.  Aditionally, Audemars Piguet has developed a time capsule to commemorate this year’s nominees. The contents of the Audemars Piguet Tony Awards Time Capsule will be kept under the auspices of the American Theatre Wing and during an event celebrating the Tony Awards 75th Anniversary in 2021 will be opened revealing the contents.   

Carnegie Mellon University - Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) is the first exclusive higher education partner of the Tony Awards. As part of the collaboration, the two organizations will jointly create and launch the first, national recognition program to honor kindergarten through high-school (K-12) theatre educators. CMU’s School of Drama is the oldest drama degree-granting program in the United States and celebrates its centennial in 2014. In the past century, CMU has produced hundreds of Tony nominees and more than 30 Tony winners—eight winners in 2013 alone. Clear Channel Spectacolor - Clear Channel Spectacolor, in partnership with the Times Square Alliance and the City of New York, will host the sixth annual simulcast of the 2014 Tony Awards on June 8th in Times Square. For the first time, Clear Channel Spectacolor is a Co-Producer of the Simulcast and an official media partner of the Tony’s. The Times Square simulcast event will air the Tony Awards Red Carpet courtesy of NY1. The entirety of the Tony Awards show, including the Creative Arts Awards, which can only be seen live inside Radio City Music Hall will also be broadcast at the event. The sixth annual Tony Awards simulcast will take place rain or shine, with full audio and seating for 1,000 guests starting at 7:00 pm on Broadway between 42nd and 43rd Streets. The event is free and open to the public.
