Glenn Weiss and Directing Team for the 68^th Annual Tony Awards Nominated for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Variety/Talk/News/Sports-Specials

 New York, NY (January 14, 2015) – Glenn Weiss and the directing team of the 68^th Annual Tony Awards have been nominated with a Directors Guild Award in the category of Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Variety/Talk/News/Sports-Specials. This is Mr. Weiss’ 12^th DGA Award nomination. He has earned 11 nominations for the Tony Awards and is also nominated this year for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television and Mini-Series, together with Rob Ashford, for Peter Pan Live!, bringing even more live theatre to television. Mr. Weiss won the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Musical Variety in 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 for the 61^st, 64^th, 65^th, 66^th and 67^th Annual Tony Awards. He was previously nominated in this category in 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2008, all for the 55^th, 56^th, 59^th, 60^th, 62^nd-Annual Tony Awards.
