MIAMI, FL-- (June 15, 2016) - When it came time to selecting roses befitting of a Broadway Star, the Tony Awards turned to PassionRoses.  PassionRoses is proud to partner with the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League to be the Official Rose of the 2016 Tony Awards.  

The 70th Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Tony Award winner James Corden, aired on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 12, 2016, live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City.  A stunning rose wall, built by Raúl Àvila Inc. and comprised of 70,000 hand-picked red PassionRoses grown in the fields of Colombia, took center stage alongside Broadway theatres finest as they posed for photos and walked the red carpet.

Also from Bogota, Colombia was celebrity event designer Raúl Àvila whose team designed and constructed the magnificent PassionRoses rose wall.

“I am honored to be designing the red carpet for the Tony Awards for the second time,” says Àvila.  “This year, I was inspired to by the striking red roses, which I feel captured the impact and elegance of the Theater and the Tony Awards.”
