| | | | | Mama Rose (Patti LuPone) is a woman with a mission: to see her daughter June succeed on Broadway, by way of vaudeville. When June marries and leaves the act, Rose turns her hope and attention to her shy, less talented daughter Louise. Rose books Louise into a burlesque house by mistake; she is forced into the spotlight and comes into her own.
