Best Scenic Design of a Musical
For The Drowsy Chaperone
|
I've got to remember what pocket I put it all in here. I'll just take a quick moment. I want to thank the League and the Wing for this honor. Thank you all very, very much. I just love my job. I really, really do. I am just totally grateful to The Drowsy Chaperone family for making this very odd and quirky show the most fun that I have ever had in my time on Broadway. I'd also like to thank every teacher that I have ever had -- all of them -- which includes probably many of the people who are in this room, and especially my first great inspiration, my high school theatre and arts teacher, Leonard Borovay. Lastly, I would like to take a moment to thank my friend August Wilson for his life and inspiration and lifetime's work. Thank you.
