Harold Prince is a legend in the American theatre—the acclaimed director and producer behind a long list of America’s most iconic musicals. His new musical event is a tribute to his long Broadway career that brought together six decades of magical moments, including hits from such celebrated shows as West Side Story, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Evita, Company, Follies, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, The Phantom of the Opera
, and more.
- Harold Prince received the Best Musical Tony Award for his productions of The Pajama Game, Damn Yankees, Fiorello!, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Company, and A Little Night Music. He won Tonys for directing Cabaret, Company, Follies, Candide, Sweeney Todd, Evita, The Phantom of the Opera, and a 1995 revival of Show Boat; as well as for Best Producer of a Musical for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Fiddler on the Roof. He has received three Special Tony Awards including the 2006 Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement. That makes 21 Tony Awards in total to date.
- The musical includes songs from 16 different Broadway shows, as well as the cast members taking turns playing Prince as he introduces the musical numbers.
The musical premiered in Japan in October, 2015 before arriving on Broadway.
