Tupac Shakur’s music and lyrics provide the soundtrack for a story about friendship, family, revenge, change and hope. At once a love story and a vivid picture of life in the streets, the musical depicts inner city lives struggling for peace against the daily challenges they face. The poetry of one of the 20th century’s most influential and culturally prominent voices gives audiences a window into realities of the streets still relevant today.

  • Though inspired by the music and lyrics of Tupac Shakur, one of the most influential rappers of all time and one of the world’s best-selling recording artists, the musical is not based specifically on Shakur’s life.
  • The legendary Palace Theatre was reconfigured with stadium-style seating for this production.

This was a world-premiere production.
