New York, New York (February 14, 2013) – The Tony Awards Administration Committee met today for the second time this season to decide the eligibility of 14 Broadway productions for the 2013 American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards®, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.   The Tony Awards Administration Committee will meet a total of four times throughout the 2012-2013 season to decide the eligibility for the 2013 Tony Awards.  

The 14 productions discussed include: Grace; Cyrano de Bergerac; Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?; The Heiress; Annie; The Mystery of Edwin Drood; Scandalous; A Christmas Story, The Musical; Dead Accounts; The Anarchist; Golden Boy; Glengarry Glen Ross; The Other Place and Picnic.  The committee has made the following determinations:

  • Patrick Page will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play category for his performance in Cyrano de Bergerac.
  • Dan Stevens will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play category for his performance in The Heiress.
  • Anthony Warlow and Lilla Crawford will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical categories for their respective performances in Annie. 
  • Will Chase, Gregg Edelman and Chita Rivera will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical categories for their respective performances in The Mystery of Edwin Drood.  
  • John Bolton, Johnny Rabe and Erin Dilly will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical categories for their respective performances in A Christmas Story, The Musical.
  • Seth Numrich will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play category for his performance in Golden Boy.
  • Al Pacino, Bobby Cannavale, David Harbour and Richard Schiff will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play category for their respective performances in Glengarry Glen Ross.  
  • Laurie Metcalf will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play category for her performance in The Other Place.  
  • Reed Birney, Sebastian Stan, Maggie Grace, Elizabeth Marvel, Mare Winningham and Ellen Burstyn will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Featured Role categories for their respective performances in Picnic.

All other eligibility determinations were consistent with the opening night credits.
