NEW YORK CITY (MAY 29, 2015) – For the first time ever, the Tony Awards® will present “LIVE! From the Red Carpet,” a live-streamed red carpet special helmed by TV and Stage Star Darren Criss and two-time Tony Nominee Laura Osnes. Criss and Osnes will be joined by George Takei, serving as the live stream’s official fan correspondent; Randi Zuckerberg as the tech/social correspondent; Blake Ross as the theatre correspondent; and Emilio Sosa as the fashion correspondent.

The 2-hour, 30-minute special will air from 5:30pm to 8:00pm EST on TonyAwards.com, CBS.com, Playbill.com and TimeOut.com. Viewers will feel like they are right in the action, enjoying interviews with the 2015 Tony Nominees from the red carpet as they arrive for Broadway’s biggest night. In partnership with Stage17.tv and Playbill, the live special will also showcase exclusive behind-the-scenes features showcasing the nominated shows and actors of 2014-2015 Broadway season. The live special will be produced by red carpet specialist Eddie Delbridge (E! Live from the Red Carpet) in conjunction with SERINO/COYNE and Getty Images Video. Additional camera equipment is generously provided by B&H Photo.

Fans who are in the New York City area can watch the live stream with fellow fans at the Times Square Simulcast via Clear Channel’s SpectacolorHD screens in the heart of the Broadway community—New York City’s Times Square. The 2015 Tony Awards - hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming – will be broadcast on Sunday, June 7th, 2015 (8:00 – 11:00 p.m. ET/PT time delay) on the CBS Television Network, live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The Tony Awards, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

About the Live Red Carpet Team

Recent Broadway.com Audience Choice Award-winner Darren Criss (actor, musician and composer ) is currently starring on Broadway in the title role of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award winning Best Musical Revival. He recently starred as Blaine Anderson on Fox's Emmy and Golden Globe Award‐winning series Glee. He made his Broadway debut in January of 2012 as J. Pierrepont Finch in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. Laura Osnes recently starred in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel at the Lyric Opera of Chicago opposite Steven Pasquale under the direction of Rob Ashford. On Broadway, Osnes has been seen in Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Drama Desk Award; Tony, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama League Award nominations); Bonnie and Clyde (Tony Award nomination), creating the role at Asolo Repertory Theatre and La Jolla Playhouse (San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Award); the Tony-winning revival of Anything Goes (Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Astaire Award nominations);in Lincoln Center’s production of South Pacific; and her Broadway debut in the most recent revival of Grease. Other New York credits include The Threepenny Opera (Drama Desk Award nomination), directed by Martha Clarke at the Atlantic Theater Company; Encores! Productions of: The Band WagonRandy Newman's Faust, and Pipe Dream; and a one-night-only concert of The Sound of Music at Carnegie Hall. On television, Ms. Osnes has been seen on the CBS series “Elementary”, in the HBO pilot “The Miraculous Year” (written by John Logan and directed by Kathryn Bigelow), Sondheim: The Birthday Concert at Avery Fisher Hall, HBO's documentary Six By Sondheim, and the Kennedy Center Honors salutes to Barbara Cook (2011) and Dustin Hoffman (2012). Eddie Delbridge has been producing live television for over 20 years and has produced some of the highest profile live television events in the world. He is one of the leading producers of live event and live red carpet broadcasts, digital livestreams, and second screen experiences. Delbridge started producing live red carpets in the early days of E! Entertainment Television when Joan and Melissa Rivers ruled the red carpet. He has since produced nearly every major live red carpet for a variety of broadcast networks including: The Academy Awards, The Golden Globe Awards, The Primetime Emmys, The Grammys, The Screen Actors Guild Awards, The Met Art Gala, The Teen Choice Awards, The Kids Choice Awards, The Latin Billboard Awards, The American Country Awards, The Kids Choice Sports Awards, The American Music Awards, and many more.
