Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming Co-Host the 69th Annual Tony Awards Broadcast Live from Radio City Music Hall on CBS, Sunday, June 7th
New York, NY (June 3, 2015) – The Tony Awards today announced that more than 175 performers will join Josh Groban on-stage for a special performance – the most performers in a single number in Tony Awards history - at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night for the 69th Annual Tony Awards. The 2015 Tony Awards will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on CBS, on Sunday, June 7th 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay) and are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
The entertainment-packed evening will also feature performances of the following numbers from the 2015 Tony-nominated shows in the Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical categories:
Upholding the Tony Awards’ valued tradition of recognizing the excellence of the entire Broadway season each year, this year’s telecast will also feature not-to-be missed performances of “The Night They Invented Champagne” featuring Vanessa Hudgens, Corey Cott, 2015 Tony Nominee Victoria Clark and the cast of Gigi, “Stronger” from Finding Neverland, featuring Matthew Morrison and Kelsey Grammer; “Jenny’s Blues” from It Shoulda Been You, featuring Lisa Howard, Adam Heller and past Tony Award winner Tyne Daly.
In celebration of its 10-year anniversary on Broadway, the Broadway cast of Jersey Boys will perform “Oh What A Night.”
Broadway’s biggest night, hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming will feature appearances by Bradley Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, Jim Parsons, Amanda Seyfried, Ashley Tisdale, Bryan Cranston, Joe Manganiello, Kiefer Sutherland, Anna Chlumsky, Larry David, Jason Alexander, Misty Copeland, Sting, Corey Stoll, David Hyde Pierce, Debra Messing, Jennifer Nettles, Marg Helgenberger, Rita Wilson, Rose Byrne, Thomas Sadoski, Sutton Foster, Taye Diggs, Taylor Schilling, Bobby Cannavale and Tommy Tune, among others.
The 2015 Tony Awards will be broadcast on Sunday, June 7th, 2015 (8:00 – 11:00 p.m. ET/PT time delay) on the CBS Television Network, live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The Tony Awards, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
