The Luncheon to Celebrate the Newly Announced Nominees Will Take Place at the Legendary Landmark on Tuesday, May 23

New York, NY (May 10, 2017) – The Tony Awards® announced today that their annual Nominee Luncheon will take place at the legendary Rainbow Room atop Rockefeller Center, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. The yearly event brings together the newly nominated Broadway talent for a special cocktail reception, seated lunch and certificate ceremony, where they can celebrate each other’s achievements.

“We’re thrilled to return to the iconic New York landmark, Rainbow Room, with our Nominee Luncheon. The space’s breathtaking views allow the city to be our backdrop, while we celebrate this year’s nominees,” stated Heather Hitchens, President of the American Theatre Wing, and Charlotte St. Martin, President of The Broadway League.

The American Theatre Wing’s 71^st Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Tony and Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey, will air live from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 11, 2017 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT). The Tony Awards, which honors theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
