The 2015 Tony Awards is broadcast live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall Sunday, June 7th, at 8pm ET

NEW YORK CITY (June 5, 2015) – Before Broadway’s biggest night on Sunday, June 7th, 37 productions will have opened on Broadway in the 2014-15 season. Of those productions, 10 were eligible for Best New Musical and 11 were eligible for Best New Play at the 69th Annual Tony Awards. In these new plays and musicals, 213 actors made their Broadway debuts in new shows.

As this year’s telecast, there will be 210 feet of red carpet that the 110 Tony Award Nominees will walk down before entering Radio City Music Hall.

Additional fun facts about this season’s nominated shows and actors are:

  • 4 - The number of octaves in Tony Award co-host and 2015 Tony Nominee Kristin Chenoweth’s vocal range. That’s more than 30 notes!
  • 6 – The record number of female nominees associated with a musical (Fun Home)
  • 10 – The record-breaking number of times Chita Rivera has been nominated for a Tony Award

The 2015 Tony Awards will be broadcast on Sunday, June 7th, 2015 (8:00 – 11:00 p.m. ET/PT time delay) on the CBS Television Network, live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The Tony Awards, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
