The cast includes Rosdely Ciprian and Thursday Williams, a pair of real-life high school students who appear at alternating performances. They engage with Schreck in a live, onstage debate over a question involving the Constitution.

Schreck has described the play as “a very personal love story about a teenage girl’s bad romance with the Constitution.”

The play debuted Off Broadway at Clubbed Thumb’s Summerworks in 2017, followed by a run at California’s Berkeley Repertory Theatre. In the fall of 2018, it was produced by New York Theatre Workshop and then moved to the Greenwich House Theater before transferring to Broadway.
